Diagnóstico e proposta de implantação de um projeto de arborização nas calçadas de quatro escolas na cidade de Aliança do Tocantins (Tocantins)

Na elaboração de um projeto de arborização urbana é importantíssimo selecionar bem a espécie arbórea e o local onde irá ser plantada. Objetivou-se com o trabalho em realizar um diagnóstico do estado da atual arborização com o intuito de fomentar o órgão ambiental do munícipio de Aliança do Tocantins-TO a criar um Projeto de Arborização para as calçadas de quatro Escolas. A área estudada tem um comprimento de 897,69 m, onde foi feito um inventário de forma linear, visando à coleta das características das espécies arbóreas e do meio. Encontraram-se 37 indivíduos de médio a grande porte, a maioria considerado jovem, pertencentes a 6 espécies, com dominância da espécie Licania tomentosa (Benth.). Do total dos indivíduos, alguns possuíam fiação no meio da copa e quase todos tinham o fuste com a primeira bifurcação até 1,80 m. No meio constatou um grande déficit de espécimes e áreas livres, em espaço com mais da metade das calçadas consideradas largas e, quase do total das ruas, também largas. Além disso, mais da metade das calçadas estavam em áreas sem pavimentação e metade em local com ausência de rede aérea. Diante disso, propõe ao poder público municipal a criação do Projeto de Arborização na área estudada, objetivando a manutenção e implantação de novas espécies arbóreas compatíveis com as características do meio.

Diagnosis and proposal for the implementation of an afforestation project on the sidewalks of four schools in the city of Alliance of Tocantins (Brazil)

In the elaboration of an urban afforestation project, it is very important to select the tree species and the place where it will be planted. The objective of the work was to carry out a diagnosis of the state of the current afforestation in order to encourage the environmental agency of the municipality of Alliance of Tocantins-TO to create an Afforestation Project for the sidewalks of four schools. The studied area has a length of 897.69 m, where an inventory was made in a linear way, aiming at collecting the characteristics of the tree species and the environment. Thirty-seven medium to large individuals were found, most of them considered young, belonging to 6 species, with dominance of the species Licania tomentosa (Benth.). Of the total number of individuals, some had wiring in the middle of the canopy and almost all had the shaft with the first fork up to 1.80 m. In the middle, he found a great deficit of specimens and free areas, in a space with more than half of the sidewalks considered wide and, almost of the total of the streets, also wide. In addition, more than half of the sidewalks were in unpaved areas and half in a place with no aerial network. Therefore, it proposes to the municipal government the creation of the Afforestation Project in the studied area, aiming at the maintenance and implantation of new tree species compatible with the characteristics of the environment.
