Changes to Special Issue Requests

As of today (June 4, 2023), special issue requests from academic events, whether private or public, will no longer be accepted. For five years, the option to request special issues was available in the Revista Brasileira de Meio Ambiente, fostering stronger academic ties worldwide.

This decision aligns with the standards of major international indexing platforms, which promote and require extensive and high-quality double-blind peer reviews.

However, members of the Editorial Board, as well as Assistant Editors, retain the authority to recommend and initiate special issues, based on active criteria and thorough analysis. If necessary, the RVBMA reviewers will conduct re-evaluations to ensure the publication's quality.
