In this document, the author must explain the importance of their research in the current context and its relation to everyday life. After completing the necessary fields and providing justifications, the researcher must submit the file in WORD format as supplementary material.
There are TWO (2) modalities for submission and publication in the Brazilian Journal of the Environment (Revista Brasileira de Meio Ambiente - RVBMA):
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
This section is for publishing works of current relevance; its short format aims for easy, quick, and universal reading. All articles, experience reports, scientific notes, literature, or documentary reviews with 4 TO 8 PAGES will fall under this modality, regardless of the subject (guiding axes).
SUBMISSION CONDITIONS:
Researchers wishing to publish their manuscript in this modality must select the tab “Cotidiano e Meio Ambiente” (Daily Life and the Environment) at submission and upload the following documents:
a) Complete manuscript (submitted in WORD format)
b) Supplementary Letter (uploaded as supplementary material in WORD format)
If the author fails to submit the above-required documents, the manuscript will be entirely rejected.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
All articles with 10 PAGES OR MORE will fall under this modality and must be submitted under the most appropriate guiding axis for the research. The guiding axes and their respective subgroups are listed at the following link: https://revistabrasileirademeioambiente.com/index.php/RVBMA/index.
SUBMISSION CONDITIONS:
Researchers wishing to publish their manuscript in this modality must select the most appropriate tab for their work (e.g., Environmental and Social Sciences / Technology and Environmental Studies / Planning and Environment) and upload the following documents:
a) Complete manuscript (submitted in WORD format)
b) Supplementary Letter (uploaded as supplementary material in WORD format)
If the author fails to submit the above-required documents, the manuscript will be entirely rejected.

If copyrighted material is reproduced in the manuscript, full attribution must be provided in the text. When necessary, a supporting document authorizing its use must be submitted to the Editorial Committee as supplementary material. It is the responsibility of the authors—not the journal, editors, or reviewers—to clearly indicate the authorship of texts, data, figures, images, and/or maps previously published elsewhere within the article.
If there is any suspicion regarding the originality of the material, the Editorial Committee may verify the manuscript for plagiarism. In cases where plagiarism is confirmed, the manuscript will be returned without further review and without the possibility of resubmission. Self-plagiarism (i.e., the use of identical phrases from documents previously published by the same author) is also unacceptable.
When submitting a manuscript, the author(s) must sign a prior agreement agreeing to the Copyright Statement, as explained above.
To strengthen the authors' copyright, the Brazilian Journal of the Environment adopts the Creative Commons - CC-BY 4.0 license. [Articles can be shared, and their content may be modified, provided full credit is given to the original work]. For more information about this license, visit https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0. The logo and the link to the license remain static in the journal's footer.
It is worth noting that the author(s) may request the rights to their manuscript without restrictions, even if the article has already been published in the journal.
The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
